Everyone has creative ideas to share, the trouble is, that sometimes we get in our own way of sharing with the world what only we have to offer. Have you ever been in a meeting ideating with your team or even speaking with a family member when an unexpected idea comes to mind? Then, instead of sharing it, you second guess yourself and say nothing? In this interactive workshop, we'll learn how to use our voices effectively, be more present, and share our ideas and expertise with confidence.
What? What will participants learn or experience as a result of this program or session?
- Learn where ideas that seem to come out of nowhere come from and why you can feel confident in sharing them
- Practice theatre-based physical and vocal techniques to harness the power of your voice
- Practice sharing ideas “off the cuff” without pre-judgement via improv-based exercises
So What? How might the content of this session change your perceptions, habits, ways of working, or view on the world?
- Gain practical tools to present your ideas in a more confident manner moving forward
- Self-talk will be encouraged to shift from “I’m not ready, I need more information, this is a dumb idea,” to, “I am the only person with my particular perspective, skills and life-experience, I’ve GOT to share this!”
- Bring this back to the workplace and model throwing ideas out there, with less judgement, perhaps others around you will feel empowered to do the same, adding to the mixing bowl of creativity!
